Introduction
On October 27, 2007, CMS announced that Palmetto was selected as the Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) for Jurisdiction 1 which includes the states of California, Hawaii and Nevada, the territories of American Samoa and Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands. The announced transition dates for California are August 18, 2008 for Part A providers and September 2, 2008 for Part B providers.
Palmetto has identified VisionShare as an approved resource for California healthcare providers who are required to re-establish a new secure connection during this transition.
In addition to providing FISS/DDE access, VisionShare can provide connectivity to all available Medicare EDI services in California. We can provide batch and real-time capabilities for Medicare Part A and B, DME, RHHI and Section 1011 for undocumented workers.
